There's an eastern proverb that goes:
The giant pine tree grows from a tiny sprout. The journey of a thousand miles starts from beneath your feet. Rushing into action, you fail. Trying to grasp things, you lose them. Forcing a project to completion, you ruin what was almost ripe.
Nowadays, you hear the phrase "trust the process" get thrown around often. But what does that exactly mean?
Make no mistake about it. The road to success will always be riddled with many setbacks. But if you have the awareness to learn from each failure, then your journey becomes a progressive process towards success. But the truth has to be told. Life will not always go the way you want it to.
In my many endeavors, from corporate life to relationships, life has never been a field of roses. I sometimes scratch my head thinking how sudden things go awry and in the same way, turn around so easily to my favor. That's just the way it is with life. We can never predict the exact outcomes nor can we make it turn to our will every time. But whatever the circumstance is, there surely is one thing you can control; and that is your RESPONSE to everything you experience. If you can turn any sour day to a learning experience then you'll always win.
If you are in an uphill battle today, learn to love the struggle. Without the tough times, the success would not feel as sweet and fulfilling. I always say to myself that success gains its sweetness from the bitterness of past failures. Fail forward and enjoy every moment of it.
